The Porter Supervisor at xAI is responsible for overseeing the ordering and receiving of products and equipment, managing inventory, tracking expenditures, and ensuring the availability of supplies for the food services department. This role includes scheduling, payroll management, task assignment, and supervision of the Porter team. The Porter Supervisor plays a crucial role in supporting xAI's mission by coordinating logistics for both perishable and non-perishable resources utilized by the Culinary and Food & Beverage teams, ensuring adherence to food safety and quality assurance best practices. Additionally, the position involves heavy lifting during event setups and transporting products and equipment to support daily operations.

Key responsibilities include managing a departmental budget exceeding $10 million, taking inventory and placing orders across all culinary food services areas, receiving and checking daily deliveries, establishing and enforcing standards for ordering and receiving operations, maintaining accurate inventory records, collaborating with the culinary team for optimal product and vendor selection, leading special event setups and breakdowns, monitoring departmental spending by vendor, reconciling invoices, managing porters for site support and cleanliness, assisting with events and operations, facilitating equipment movement, managing staff scheduling and payroll, conducting annual staff reviews, supervising deliveries across campus, maintaining a safe work environment, monitoring equipment maintenance, and assisting with daily services as directed by management.

Required qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalency certificate, at least 2 years of inventory experience, 2 years of restaurant or retail food service experience, and 1 year of leadership experience. Preferred skills encompass obtaining a California state food handler card and manager-level food safety certification, experience in a corporate environment, working in large team settings, customer service or guest interaction experience, proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, data entry experience, familiarity with inventory management software, strong writing and verbal communication skills, and being detail-oriented and organized.

The position offers a base salary ranging from $105,000 to $135,000 USD. Additional compensation may include long-term incentives such as company stock, stock options, or long-term cash awards, potential discretionary bonuses, and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
