As a Portfolio Product Manager at Beacon Software, you will join the Acceleration team—a dynamic group comprising Product Managers, Engineers, Designers, Go-To-Market experts, and Data Scientists. This team collaborates closely with portfolio companies to address challenges, develop and implement strategic playbooks, and create innovative features and products. In this role, you will oversee product outcomes for 3-4 portfolio companies, driving quarterly planning, roadmap development, prioritization, and sprint execution, while enhancing each team's capabilities. You will act as a fractional product leader, setting and achieving product goals.

Your key responsibilities will include leading quarterly and annual planning sessions to help teams establish product visions and translate them into actionable goals. You will build and maintain product roadmaps that balance customer needs, business objectives, and technical constraints. Additionally, you will guide sprint planning and execution to improve team velocity and predictability over time. Developing prioritization frameworks to assist CEOs and teams in making informed product decisions, setting up customer feedback systems to convert qualitative inputs into actionable roadmap decisions, and helping teams collect and analyze product usage data are also integral parts of this role. Furthermore, you will review feature specifications for clarity and strategic fit, coordinate feature launches across various teams, coach team members to enhance their product management skills, and configure and optimize project management tools such as Jira, Linear, and Asana.

The ideal candidate will have over 4 years of product management experience, preferably in B2B SaaS. Strong product fundamentals, including roadmapping, sprint planning, specification writing, and prioritization frameworks, are essential. You should possess strong customer discovery skills and the ability to identify high-impact opportunities. Comfort in managing multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously, strong communication skills to influence founders and executives, an entrepreneurial mindset with comfort in ambiguity, and the ability to thrive with a high level of autonomy and responsibility are also required.
