Post-Conviction Relief Attorney

The United Firm | La Liga Defensora, APC is seeking a Post-Conviction Relief Attorney to join their Los Angeles office. This role offers an opportunity for a dedicated Associate Attorney to gain valuable experience in both criminal and immigration law within a premier law firm. The attorney will report to the Supervising Attorney and collaborate with a team of attorneys and legal assistants specializing in post-conviction relief.

Key responsibilities include advising clients on their legal rights, drafting legal documents, and handling post-conviction relief cases such as motions to vacate, expungements, motions to reduce, and early termination of probation. The attorney will attend motion hearings on behalf of clients, manage open criminal cases, and perform legal research. Experience with immigration law is highly desirable, as the position involves interactions with both criminal and immigration practices.

Candidates should have experience in criminal defense or immigration law, with a background in handling criminal cases at the state and local level. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with fellow associates are essential. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is strongly preferred but not required.

The compensation package includes an annual salary ranging from $85,000 to $120,000, based on experience. Additional benefits encompass medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid parking, and paid time off.
