Power Market Analyst

Aypa Power, a Blackstone portfolio company, is seeking a Power Market Analyst to join its Commercial Asset Management Team. This role focuses on the commercial operations of a growing storage portfolio, contributing to the company's mission to decarbonize the grid and enhance energy market efficiency across North America.

The Power Market Analyst will serve as the subject matter expert for assigned asset contracts, manage counterparty relationships, and oversee power market settlement processes. Responsibilities include ensuring timely execution of contractual obligations, monitoring regulatory changes, creating and interpreting daily reports, and supporting asset optimization strategies.

Candidates should possess a B.S. in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field, along with strong MS Excel skills; proficiency in Python or SQL is preferred. A minimum of one year of experience in at least one U.S. power market, particularly CAISO or ERCOT, is required. Analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential.
