Principal Development ICT Engineer
As the Principal Development ICT Engineer at AirTrunk, you will lead the design, delivery, and integration of Information, Communication, and Technology (ICT) systems across new data centre developments. Reporting to the Senior Director of Engineering and Commissioning, you will collaborate closely with the Development and Technology teams to ensure the seamless implementation of ICT infrastructure that meets the company's high standards and supports its rapid expansion across the Asia Pacific and Middle East regions.
Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing design consultants and general contractors in developing ICT service design submissions from schematic through to Issued for Construction documentation. You will work closely with ICT project integrators and independent consultants to ensure successful configuration, startup, and commissioning of ICT services that support critical data centre applications. Additionally, you will manage relationships with external vendors, service providers, and technology partners, providing expert technical input for procurement, RFPs, and contract negotiations.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in ICT engineering roles, with at least 5 years in senior or lead engineering or ICT architectural positions, preferably within the data centre industry. A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline is required, with a Master's degree preferred. Proven experience in delivering large-scale ICT programs and enterprise systems is essential. The role demands flexibility, adaptability to a dynamic, fast-paced environment, and excellent communication skills, including the ability to deliver effective presentations on data centre design to various stakeholders.
