Axon is seeking an experienced Principal of Equity Compensation to oversee the administration of the company's equity plans, including the innovative eXponential Stock Plan (XSP). This role is integral to Axon's mission to Protect Life, working within a dynamic team dedicated to advancing public safety technologies. The Principal will collaborate closely with departments such as People Operations, Payroll, Legal, Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, Tax, and both internal and external audit teams.

Key responsibilities include managing all aspects of equity plan administration, such as reviewing grants, exercises, releases, and cancellations, conducting monthly reconciliations, and monitoring share utilization. The Principal will also partner with stakeholders to evolve the XSP, implement best practices with effective controls, and automate workflows to ensure efficient and accurate processing of equity data. Additional duties involve coordinating with Payroll and Accounting on stock compensation reporting, liaising with officers and brokers to maintain 10b5-1 trading plans, preparing SEC filings, and providing information for financial statement disclosures.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, along with over seven years of experience in stock administration within a public company. Proficiency in Excel and a keen interest in automation and artificial intelligence initiatives are essential. Comprehensive knowledge of various equity awards and programs, understanding of accounting standards related to equity compensation, and exceptional analytical and quantitative skills are required. Strong written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal abilities, acute attention to detail, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment are also crucial.
