Principal NPI Program Manager
As a Principal NPI Program Manager at Axon, you will lead the New Product Introduction (NPI) process, guiding products from concept to commercialization. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Product, Finance, Commercial Operations, Supply Chain, Operations, Legal, and IT, to ensure seamless integration of new products into Axon's operations. Axon is a global leader in public safety technology, offering a range of devices and cloud software solutions aimed at protecting life and making communities safer.
Key responsibilities include owning and operating the end-to-end NPI workflow for all SKU types—hardware, software, and services—from initial submission through cross-functional review cycles to readiness for quoting and shipping. You will manage and continuously improve the NPI intake process and associated workflows across platforms like ServiceNow, D365, and Salesforce. Additionally, you will drive the bundle creation process during annual pricing events, enforce governance frameworks for SKU creation and modifications, and set clear priorities during dynamic periods such as product launches and mergers.
The role requires a minimum of 8 years of experience in Product Operations, NPI, Commercial Operations, or related functions within technology or multi-product companies. Candidates should demonstrate end-to-end ownership of product introduction processes, proven cross-functional leadership skills, and fluency in enterprise systems such as ServiceNow, D365, and Salesforce. Experience in high-growth environments, a strong understanding of product bundling and pricing constructs, and proficiency in AI/automation tools are also essential. Excellent executive communication skills are necessary to influence senior and C-suite leadership effectively.
Axon offers a competitive salary range of $193,200 to $309,120 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes a 401(k) plan with employer match, discretionary paid time off, paid parental leave, and medical, dental, and vision plans. Additional perks include fitness programs, emotional and mental wellness support, learning and development programs, and access to Employee Resource Groups (ERGs).
