As a Principal Product Manager, Connectivity at Axon, you will lead the development and execution of the wireless communications and location strategy across Axon's connected devices portfolio. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to integrate technologies such as cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GNSS into body-worn, in-vehicle, and other embedded products, ensuring robust and scalable solutions for public safety environments.

Key responsibilities include defining product requirements and prioritizing wireless features, developing a comprehensive connectivity roadmap, and aligning engineering and business stakeholders. You will make strategic trade-offs concerning performance, reliability, cost, power consumption, certification, manufacturability, and field quality. Collaboration with electrical and RF engineering, hardware design, firmware, software, operations, compliance, and external partners is essential to deliver differentiated wireless capabilities.

The ideal candidate possesses 10–12+ years of product management experience with a focus on connected devices, embedded systems, or wireless platforms. A strong understanding of wireless technologies, including cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GNSS, is required. Experience with IoT products deployed at scale, excellent product judgment, and the ability to prioritize across customer value, technical complexity, and business impact are crucial. Demonstrated success in ambiguous, high-dependency environments and strong communication skills are also important.

Axon offers a competitive salary and equity package, 401(k) with employer match, discretionary paid time off, paid parental leave, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, and career development opportunities. The company fosters a mission-driven team focused on meaningful impact, providing a dynamic and collaborative work environment.

Joining Axon means contributing to a mission that matters—protecting life. The company values diverse perspectives and encourages innovation, offering opportunities for professional growth and the chance to make a real difference in public safety through cutting-edge technology solutions.
