Product Analytics Lead
Beacon Software is seeking a Product Analytics Lead to join its Acceleration team, a cross-functional group comprising Product Managers, Engineers, Designers, GTM experts, and Product Analysts. This role involves collaborating closely with portfolio companies to address challenges, develop and implement playbooks, and create new features and products. As the inaugural Product Analytics hire, the successful candidate will establish and shape the Analytics function from the ground up, influencing major product decisions across the entire portfolio.
Key responsibilities include identifying new product and feature opportunities through analysis of customer and business data, working with the Acceleration team to validate customer problems and develop new features, measuring the impact of products and features across portfolio companies by developing methodologies for attribution, retention analysis, and long-term value assessment, identifying leading indicators and proxy metrics that predict business outcomes and inform product decisions, and analyzing data across Beacon's portfolio to uncover patterns, opportunities, and insights applicable to multiple businesses.
The ideal candidate will have over six years of experience in analytics or data science, preferably in B2B SaaS, possess strong analytical skills, thrive in ambiguous situations with the ability to self-direct without a predefined roadmap, be comfortable working with messy or incomplete data to extract actionable insights, demonstrate sound business judgment connecting analysis to real decisions and outcomes, have a product-oriented mindset understanding how features drive user behavior beyond mere reporting metrics, and be adept at managing multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
This role is particularly suited for individuals who are former founders or aspire to start their own B2B SaaS company, seek to join a profitable, fast-growing startup, are interested in exploring various verticals and markets, and are curious about private equity, rollups, and AI.
