Product Analytics Lead
The Product Analytics Lead at Beacon Software will join the Acceleration team, a cross-functional group comprising Product Managers, Engineers, Designers, GTM experts, and Product Analysts. This team collaborates closely with portfolio companies to address challenges, develop and implement playbooks, and build new features and products. Beacon Software is a profitable Series B+ firm that acquires and grows essential businesses, supported by capital from top-tier venture capital, crossover, and endowment investors, as well as founders of leading technology companies.
In this role, the Product Analytics Lead will define and establish the Analytics function from the ground up, working across the entire portfolio to shape significant product decisions. Key responsibilities include analyzing customer and business data to identify new product and feature opportunities, collaborating with the Acceleration team to validate customer problems and develop new features, measuring the impact of products and features across portfolio companies, and developing methodologies for attribution, retention analysis, and long-term value assessment. Additionally, the role involves identifying leading indicators and proxy metrics that predict business outcomes and inform product decisions, as well as analyzing data across Beacon's portfolio to uncover patterns, opportunities, and insights applicable to multiple businesses.
The ideal candidate will have over six years of experience in analytics or data science, preferably in B2B SaaS, with strong analytical skills and the ability to thrive in ambiguous situations without a predefined roadmap. They should be comfortable working with messy or incomplete data to extract actionable insights, possess sound business judgment to connect analysis to real decisions and outcomes, and have a product-minded approach to understand how features drive user behavior beyond just reporting metrics. The ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously is also essential.
