Product Designer, Disputes
Chime is seeking a Product Designer to join our Trust & Safety Disputes team. In this role, you will lead the design of member-facing dispute experiences throughout the entire lifecycle, from issue identification to resolution and follow-up. Additionally, you will collaborate on agent tooling to enhance outcomes, playing a pivotal role in shaping Chime's dispute experience as automation and AI technologies evolve.
Your primary responsibilities will include designing thoughtful, high-trust experiences for complex and emotionally charged situations where members require clarity and support. You will work closely with cross-functional teams—including Product, Engineering, Operations, Risk, Support, and Research—to improve customer outcomes and operational efficiency. Identifying opportunities to streamline agent workflows through automation and intentional design will be key to delivering seamless and effective results for all stakeholders.
To excel in this role, you should have a strong track record of designing successful consumer-facing product experiences, ideally in mobile-first environments. Experience owning ambiguous, end-to-end problem spaces that require both strategic framing and hands-on execution is essential. The ability to design for complex systems with multiple users, even when focusing primarily on the consumer experience, is crucial. A portfolio demonstrating clear thinking, strong interaction design, and high craft in emotionally sensitive or high-stakes flows is required. Experience partnering effectively across complex stakeholder groups and influencing roadmaps, priorities, and trade-offs is also important.
The base salary for this position ranges from $170,000 to $235,000 annually, depending on location, skills, qualifications, and experience. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and comprehensive benefits. This role requires in-office presence in San Francisco from Monday to Thursday each week.
