Product Development Manager - Owner Supplied Equipment
The Product Development Manager – Owner Supplied Equipment at AirTrunk will report to the Senior Product Development Manager based in Tokyo and collaborate closely with the Customer Design and Innovation team. This role is pivotal in driving the strategic direction for the development of Owner Supplied Equipment (OSE), aligning with the company's key business objectives. Key responsibilities include managing and expanding a team to deliver critical initiatives and support project delivery efforts. The role involves overseeing processes, reporting, and documentation related to the technical specification, approval, procurement, commissioning, and continuous improvement of OSE products, ensuring alignment and collaboration with internal teams. Additionally, the manager will initiate new product development investigations, organize regular meetings with vendors, visit sites and manufacturing facilities, and ensure quality assurance and design checks on new products and applications.
The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in infrastructure, utilities, manufacturing, or data center design and operations, with a preference for experience in prefabrication or modular construction. Experience in the energy generation, distribution, and/or storage industries is advantageous. Fluency in Japanese and English, strong analytical skills, decision-making abilities, and a willingness to travel across the Asia Pacific region are essential. The candidate should also be highly driven, motivated, and capable of understanding new markets and learning local codes and regulations as needed.
