As an Algorithms Product Manager at Canva, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's personalization strategy. Reporting directly to the Chief Algorithms Officer, you will lead cross-functional teams to develop and implement advanced algorithms aimed at enhancing user engagement and retention. This position offers significant ownership and impact, with flexibility to tailor the scope and level based on your experience.

Your primary responsibilities will include leading the development of personalization algorithms to boost user engagement, identifying impactful opportunities to apply machine learning in collaboration with business leaders, and integrating AI/ML models into Canva's product offerings alongside engineers and designers. Additionally, you will provide strategic direction for the personalization roadmap, analyze user data to drive informed decision-making, and communicate complex algorithmic concepts to non-technical stakeholders to foster cross-disciplinary collaboration.

The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in machine learning, data analysis, and personalization algorithms, with a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments. Excellent communication skills are essential, along with a deep understanding of user experience design and its impact on product success. A postgraduate degree (MS or PhD) in an applied quantitative field such as Machine Learning, Statistics, Operations Research, Information Theory, Control Theory, or Econometrics is required.
