Product Owner

Kapitus is seeking a high-performing Senior Product Owner to drive the delivery and evolution of critical financial products and internal platforms. This role is ideal for a product operator who thrives in complex, regulated environments and wants to own initiatives that directly impact revenue, risk management, and operational scale.

The Product Owner will own and prioritize the product backlog for assigned platforms or initiatives, translating complex business and regulatory requirements into clear, structured user stories and acceptance criteria. They will partner closely with Engineering to ensure solutions are technically sound, scalable, and aligned with architectural standards. Responsibilities include driving sprint planning, backlog refinement, release coordination, and delivery predictability, while proactively resolving requirement gaps before development.

Candidates should have 6–10+ years of experience in a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role, preferably within fintech, lending, financial services, or other regulated environments. A demonstrated track record of delivering measurable business outcomes in revenue-generating or operationally critical systems is essential. Deep experience managing Agile backlogs, partnering with engineering teams, and a strong understanding of sales systems, underwriting workflows, or financial processing systems are required. Strong analytical skills, the ability to operate independently, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are also necessary.

Kapitus offers a competitive base salary range of $96,300 – $154,400, with annual incentive compensation eligibility of up to 10%.
