Product Partnerships Manager - Square
Square is seeking a Product Partnerships Manager to lead high-impact product and technology partnerships that help sellers operate more efficiently and grow. This role focuses on leading product partnerships that benefit Canadian sellers and supporting the Square product. The ideal candidate will work closely with leaders across Square Product, Engineering, Sales, Account Management, Finance, and Legal, as well as Cash App and Afterpay.
Key responsibilities include creating and implementing a partner strategy to maximize the impact of product partnerships, sourcing and securing partnerships aligned with product priorities, leading negotiations across product and commercial terms, and structuring partnership agreements that balance partner needs with Square's product objectives. The role also involves leading partner initiatives cross-functionally, aligning various teams around shared goals, providing structured partner feedback and market insights, and owning the overall integration experience, including quality as measured by adoption and usage.
The position requires 9+ years of business development or partner management experience, preferably at an innovative commerce or payments company. Candidates should have a demonstrated track record of success managing product partnerships and programs, proven ability to build C-suite relationships and navigate external organizations, and strong negotiation skills with a deep understanding of commercial contracts. A BS/BA is required; an MBA or Master's degree is a plus.
