As a member of the risk engineering team, the Production Risk Engineer will be responsible for producing premium through proper risk analysis and effective distribution of Allied Healthcare Professional Liability products. This role involves collaboration with engineering, design, data, and operations teams to underwrite and grow Counterpart’s Allied Healthcare book of business, encompassing E&O, GL, and related professional liability coverages for healthcare practitioners and social service providers.

Key responsibilities include achieving and exceeding underwriting performance and revenue goals for the Allied Healthcare Professional Liability segment, pricing accounts with competitive terms in accordance with guidelines, and managing quote-related communications with brokers. The role also involves collaborating with the Director of Allied Healthcare Liability and the underwriting team to understand complex account exposures, providing market feedback to improve terms and policy forms, supporting the development of underwriting guidelines and rating logic, binding accounts through continuous broker engagement, representing Counterpart at industry events, and contributing to the product roadmap by shaping digital workflows and automation for Allied Healthcare underwriting.

The ideal candidate will have 3–7 years of underwriting experience in Allied Healthcare, Healthcare Professional Liability, or related professional liability lines, along with a network of brokers, carriers, underwriters, or clients in the professional liability insurance space. Expertise in specialty liability products, the ability to establish long-term, profitable partnerships with brokerages, confidence in presenting to stakeholders, a proven track record of achieving and exceeding targets, enthusiasm for challenges in a high-velocity environment, flexibility for travel (minimum once per month), and a college degree with relevant work experience of 4+ years are also required.

Compensation for this role ranges from $120,000 to $170,000, determined by factors such as market data, location, internal equity, and experience.
