Staff DevSecOps Engineer
Counterpart is seeking a Staff DevSecOps Engineer to lead the organization's security initiatives. This role involves redefining security strategies to address new challenges introduced by AI agents, ensuring the company's security posture evolves alongside technological advancements. The engineer will serve as the internal authority on security and compliance, overseeing IT operations and collaborating with the DevOps team to secure platform infrastructure.
Key responsibilities include defining and implementing security controls and policies, managing SOC 2 Type 2 and HIPAA compliance programs, and automating audits and evidence maintenance. The role also involves staying ahead of emerging threats and regulations, managing IT operations from onboarding to offboarding, and designing secure environments for AI agent workloads.
The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in DevSecOps, security engineering, or related fields, with hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure and security on AWS. Experience owning SOC 2 and HIPAA compliance programs, managing IT operations, and a solid foundation in security frameworks and compliance standards are essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to translate compliance requirements into engineering decisions are also required.
Compensation for this role ranges from $220,000 to $250,000 annually, determined by factors such as market data, location, internal equity, and experience.
