Production Risk Engineer - Architects & Engineers
Counterpart is seeking a Production Risk Engineer specializing in Architects & Engineers to join our dynamic risk engineering team. As an insurtech platform, Counterpart is reimagining management and professional liability for the modern workplace by combining advanced AI with deep insurance expertise. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative insurance products tailored for small businesses, helping them grow with confidence.
In this position, you will be responsible for achieving and exceeding underwriting performance and revenue goals by conducting thorough risk analyses and effectively distributing our products. Your day-to-day activities will include pricing accounts with competitive terms, managing quote-related communications, collaborating with the underwriting team to understand complex exposures, and providing market feedback to enhance our terms, rates, and guidelines. Additionally, you will engage continuously with assigned brokers to bind accounts and represent Counterpart at broker meetings and industry events.
The ideal candidate will have 3–8 years of underwriting experience in management or professional liability insurance, with a strong network of brokers, carriers, underwriters, or clients in the field. Expertise in specialty liability products, including rating procedures, policy forms, applications, and coverage endorsements, is essential. Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to establish long-term, profitable partnerships with brokerages, possess confidence in presenting to stakeholders, and have a proven track record of exceeding sales and account management targets. Flexibility for travel, approximately once per month, is also required.
