Program Manager - Quality & Training (Safety Operations)
The Program Manager, Quality & Training at xAI will lead the development and execution of Safety Operations' quality and learning programs. This role is pivotal in building scalable systems to enhance moderator performance, critical thinking, and decision-making accuracy. Reporting to the Manager of Safety Operations & Enablement, the individual will manage two Safety Trainers and oversee the full lifecycle of training and quality initiatives, directly influencing operational excellence and product trust.
Key responsibilities include developing a comprehensive, automation-first quality and training strategy aligned with Safety Operations and product objectives. The role involves integrating AI tools into learning and quality processes, designing scalable onboarding frameworks, and aligning training initiatives with hiring scales and performance trends. Additionally, the Program Manager will implement quality assurance processes, define and monitor key performance indicators, and conduct root-cause analyses to improve performance outcomes.
Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in Education, Business, Operations, Human Resources, or a related field, along with over five years of experience in program management, training development, quality assurance, or operational enablement. Familiarity with AI tools, experience in designing scalable training programs, and prior people management experience are essential. Strong facilitation and communication skills, along with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment, are also required.
Preferred qualifications include experience in Trust & Safety, content moderation, compliance, or similar sensitive operational environments. Experience working in high-growth or startup settings, operational excellence certifications such as PMP, Six Sigma, or ISO, and proficiency with LMS platforms like Absorb, Articulate 360, or Notion are advantageous. Candidates should be prepared for potential exposure to sensitive or graphic content as part of the role.
