Quality Director
The Director of Quality at Anduril Industries plays a pivotal role in ensuring product development excellence and establishing a culture of continuous improvement. This position involves leading the Product Quality Engineering team and collaborating closely with the Vice President of Quality to translate strategic objectives into actionable initiatives. Key responsibilities include supporting the VP of Quality in evolving organizational priorities, enabling Quality team leaders to maximize efficiency, and building internal delivery rhythms that drive team alignment and risk management. The Director will lead cross-team initiatives, partner with Quality Systems Engineering to deploy and track key performance indicators, and foster cross-functional relationships to embed quality and compliance throughout the organization. Additionally, the role involves overseeing product line governance in accordance with DCMA compliance and federal mandates.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent technical experience, along with 5 to 10 years of industry experience in Quality management within the defense, aerospace, or related hardware sectors. Proven experience in leading Product Quality Engineering in complex product development environments is essential. A strong background in DFMEA, Control Plans, DOE, Six Sigma, DFSS, statistical methods, and reliability engineering is required. The candidate should have a track record of developing and implementing global Quality strategies, leading large-scale organizational change, and driving cultural transformation. Deep knowledge of Quality Management Systems and standards such as ISO9001 and AS9100 is also necessary.
The position offers a competitive salary range of $191,000 to $253,000 USD annually, along with highly competitive equity grants.
