Quality Inspector III (Onsite)
Axon is seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector III to join our Quality Assurance team at our Phoenix, Arizona facility. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products, which are integral to public safety and law enforcement. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to our mission of protecting life by upholding the highest standards of product excellence.
As a Quality Inspector III, your primary responsibilities will include inspecting, testing, and evaluating returned products to determine failure modes and root causes. You will document findings accurately in our quality management systems and perform functional testing, visual inspections, and basic troubleshooting. Collaborating closely with Engineering, Quality, and Customer Service teams, you will support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions, track and report metrics such as failure trends and defect rates, and assist in identifying systemic quality issues to recommend process improvements.
The ideal candidate will possess an Associate's Degree or equivalent experience, with a strong background in quality inspection and testing. Proficiency in software and computer skills, including MS Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint, is essential. Experience with IPC-A-610 certification is preferred, along with knowledge of ISO standards, inspection standards, and quality concepts. The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, product specifications, procedures, and standards is crucial, as are excellent written and oral communication skills.
