Quality Specialist, Intelligence Systems
Anduril Industries is seeking a Quality Specialist to join the Product Quality Team within the Intelligence Systems division in Santa Ana, California. This role focuses on enhancing the incoming inspection process to meet stringent quality standards, supporting a fast-paced team environment dedicated to delivering advanced defense technologies.
Key responsibilities include managing the site Materials Review Board (MRB) process, inspecting and verifying non-conforming parts both on-site and at supplier locations, and collaborating with the Supplier Quality Engineering Organization to support supplier quality control. The specialist will assist in root cause analysis, disposition non-conforming materials, manage internal rework, and ensure accurate data collection for the MRB process. Additional duties involve executing vendor return material authorizations (RMA), performing First Article Inspections (FAI) on incoming materials, creating and executing inspection plans, training technicians, and proposing quality assurance policies and continuous improvement projects.
Candidates should possess an associate degree or equivalent experience in a related field, with at least 5 years of experience in metrology inspection or a quality role. Proficiency with computer-aided design (CAD) software and inspection data management tools is essential. The role requires experience with calibrated equipment such as calipers, micrometers, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and Faro arms. A strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, and experience in facilities adhering to standards like AS9100, ISO9001, or IATF 16949 are also required. Effective communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are crucial.
The position offers a competitive salary range of $113,000 to $149,000 annually, along with equity grants.
