Real Estate Acquisitions & Development Director
AirTrunk is seeking a Real Estate Acquisitions & Development Director to join its Singapore headquarters. This role is integral to AirTrunk's rapid expansion across the Asia Pacific and Middle East regions, focusing on unlocking new markets through strategic partnerships, acquisitions, and infrastructure-led solutions. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with AirTrunk's leadership team, internal stakeholders, and external partners to drive hyperscale growth.
The Real Estate Acquisitions & Development Director will be responsible for originating and executing complex real estate transactions, including acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships that accelerate AirTrunk's growth. Key duties include leading negotiations with developers, government, and institutional partners to secure new site options, critical infrastructure, regulatory approvals, and incentives. The role also involves designing and implementing medium and long-term growth strategies that balance speed-to-market with scalability, risk mitigation, and sustainability. Additionally, the director will oversee comprehensive due diligence and feasibility assessments, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and develop compelling business cases for investment approvals.
Candidates should possess over 10 years of experience in leading negotiations or business development within the real estate or infrastructure sectors, ideally in a hyperscale environment. Proven expertise in site selection and acquisition, real estate development or project management, partnerships, and business development is essential. Experience in negotiating agreements such as economic incentives, colocation agreements, utility agreements, and construction contracts is advantageous. Strong quantitative and financial modeling skills, excellent communication and influencing abilities, and familiarity with APAC real estate markets and regulatory frameworks are also required. The ability to thrive in a matrix organization, adapt quickly, and foster an open, collaborative workplace is crucial.
