Real Estate Market Analyst

The Real Estate Market Analyst at Compass will collaborate with the Chief Economist and the CIH Data & Analytics team to produce research, analysis, and content that translates market data into insights for agents, consumers, and the media. This role focuses on the Northern California real estate market, providing data-driven research to support strategic decision-making.

Key responsibilities include producing regional and local market analyses across standard real estate metrics, monitoring macroeconomic indicators and translating their implications for Northern California housing markets, and contributing research on topics such as luxury market dynamics and neighborhood-level trends. The analyst will also write market reports, prepare data summaries and charts, and respond promptly to media inquiries.

The ideal candidate will have over five years of relevant industry experience, particularly in Bay Area and Northern California real estate market analysis. A strong analytical background with a commitment to self-directed data research is essential. Excellent written communication skills, experience producing charts and graphics for research or media, and familiarity with macroeconomic data and its relationship to housing markets are also required.

The salary range for this position is $120,700 to $150,000 annually, with potential bonuses and restricted stock units as part of the compensation package.
