Formlabs is seeking a Robotic Systems Integration Engineer to join our Hardware Engineering team in Somerville, MA. This role involves supporting all parts of the product development cycle from early R&D to continuing engineering for shipped products. In addition, you'll collaborate closely with design teams to overcome cross-disciplinary problems and ensure that we ship quality products. If you're eager to collaborate with other Systems Integration Engineers to support the full range of Formlabs products, we want you as a Robotic Systems Integration Engineer.

Key responsibilities include integrating firmware and hardware subsystems into cohesive systems, developing prototypes, and ensuring optimal performance. The engineer will partner with system architects to document system designs, establish subsystem interfaces, define control algorithms, and manage system requirements. Additionally, the role involves designing and executing test plans to validate system performance and resolving any issues to enhance functionality.

Candidates should have experience designing complex electro-mechanical systems, with knowledge of motion control, sensors, and control algorithms. Proficiency in managing system and subsystem requirements, hardware debugging, and scripting languages such as Python, LabVIEW, or MATLAB is essential. Familiarity with low-level embedded firmware (C++), data analysis, and consumer electronics is advantageous.
