Safety Training & Communications

The Safety Training & Communications Lead at AirTrunk's North Sydney headquarters is responsible for developing and enhancing the company's Safety Training Framework, known as the Safety Academy. This role ensures that all employees are trained and competent in accordance with ISO standards, legal requirements, and customer expectations. The position reports to the Director of Business Operations Safety and collaborates closely with teams across the Asia Pacific region.

Key responsibilities include building and maintaining the Safety Training Framework, updating the Training Needs Assessment matrix, and developing high-risk competency pathways such as isolations, electrical safety, and incident response. The role also involves governing the Learning Management System (LMS), integrating training data from regional systems, and creating dashboards to monitor training compliance. Additionally, the Lead delivers targeted safety training programs, designs Train-the-Trainer initiatives, and provides guidance on safety competency expectations.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislation, ISO45001 requirements, and safety governance frameworks. Experience in designing and delivering safety training programs, managing LMS platforms, and developing technical training materials is essential. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to influence diverse audiences, are also required.
