Sales Development Representative
The Sales Development Representative (Strategic Growth Partner) at Compass plays a pivotal role within the Strategic Growth team, which serves as the company's front line in market expansion. This position is based in Compass's New York City (Union Square) office and is fully on-site. Compass, founded in 2012, is revolutionizing the real estate industry by providing an end-to-end platform that empowers residential real estate agents to deliver exceptional service to their clients.
In this role, the Sales Development Representative is responsible for generating new business opportunities to build the sales pipeline through both inbound and outbound efforts. Key responsibilities include direct outreach to prospective agents via cold calls, emails, and integrated marketing campaigns; articulating Compass's value proposition; collaborating with Strategic Growth Managers and Team Leaders to develop successful prospecting strategies; maintaining accurate records within the CRM; and driving engagement with new and existing leads through creative follow-up communications.
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree and has at least two years of relevant experience in roles such as Sales Development Representative, Customer Success, Direct Sales, or Account Management. Strong interpersonal and rapport-building skills, a proactive attitude, excellent communication abilities, and a track record of excellence across strategic and operational responsibilities are essential. The candidate should also be highly organized and capable of managing multiple deadlines simultaneously.
The base pay range for this position is $80,000 to $90,000 annually, with potential variations based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Additional compensation may include bonuses and restricted stock units, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
