Sales Engineer
Axon is seeking a Sales Engineer to join its Dedrone team, focusing on smart airspace security solutions. This role involves working remotely from France with up to 50% travel. Dedrone, by Axon, is a leading provider of airspace security, offering solutions that detect, track, identify, analyze, and mitigate drone threats for commercial, government, and military clients.
The Sales Engineer will master Dedrone's technology and lead business and technical presentations. Responsibilities include engaging with IT departments and channel partners, managing customer expectations, providing first-level technical support during the pre-sales cycle, and developing relationships with key partners. The role also involves responding to customer RFPs/RFIs, positioning Dedrone's technology against competitors, representing the company at industry events, and overseeing proof-of-concept processes.
Candidates should have a good understanding of networking (IP, ARP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, PoE, Ethernet, IEEE802.11) and Linux. A basic understanding of physical security, IP-camera placement, and drone technology is desirable. An associate degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience, is required. Applicants should have 3-5 years of customer-facing pre-sales or consulting experience and experience selling SaaS-based solutions.
