The Sales Strategy & Operations Lead — Public Sector at Canva serves as the primary strategic business partner to the Head of Public Sector Sales, supporting global planning, execution, and decision-making. This role is embedded within the Sales & Success team, focusing on enhancing Canva's engagement with public sector clients. Canva, a leading design platform, has expanded its operations to the United States, with a hub in San Francisco, offering flexibility in work arrangements to empower employees and their teams.
Key responsibilities include owning forecasting and pipeline health for the Public Sector business, encompassing rollups, risk assessment, scenario modeling, and executive readouts. The role also involves leading and operating Pipeline Council and Deal Reviews to ensure rigor, consistency, and actionable follow-ups. Additionally, the position requires building and maintaining advanced models covering pipeline coverage, conversion, capacity, and attainment, as well as partnering closely with Sales Ops, Finance, and RevOps to ensure the Public Sector is well represented in global planning cycles.
The ideal candidate possesses over seven years of experience in Sales Strategy, Sales Operations, or Go-To-Market Strategy, preferably within a high-growth B2B SaaS environment. Public Sector experience is strongly preferred, including familiarity with longer sales cycles, procurement complexity, and deal governance. Exceptional analytical and modeling skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets and preferably SQL, are essential. The role also demands proven ability to operate as a thought partner to senior sales leadership, strong business judgment, clear and confident communication skills, and comfort operating globally across regions, time zones, and sales motions.
Canva offers a competitive compensation package, with a target salary range of $140,000 to $216,000, based on market data and candidates' skills and experience.
