Security Software Engineer - Crypto Services
Anduril Industries is seeking a Security Software Engineer specializing in crypto services and key management to enhance the security of our product suite. This role involves developing, testing, and debugging embedded software with mission-critical security responsibilities within a dynamic team dedicated to advancing defense technology.
Key responsibilities include designing and developing cybersecurity tools for real-time embedded systems, embedded Linux, and Android platforms. The engineer will create resilient software to manage all phases of key handling on embedded systems, from key loading to sanitization. Additionally, the role involves developing comprehensive testing and qualification procedures for security-critical components, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and implement specific security solutions, conducting code reviews to ensure adherence to security best practices, and staying updated on the latest security threats and technologies.
Candidates must have at least 2 years of software development experience in Golang, Rust, or C/C++. Experience with embedded Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) and Secure Elements is required, along with proficiency in CI/CD and test automation for mobile and embedded devices. The role also demands experience in debugging embedded systems using common test equipment such as logic analyzers and oscilloscopes, a solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices, and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
Preferred qualifications include knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards, experience in mobile development on Android platforms, familiarity with cloud infrastructure management tools like Terraform or AWS CDK, experience implementing solutions compliant with U.S. Government key handling requirements, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
The position offers a competitive salary range of $166,000 to $253,000 USD, with actual compensation varying based on factors such as work experience, education, critical skills, and business considerations.
