Senior Associate, Business Compliance
Chime is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Marketing Compliance team, focusing on ensuring that the company's products, services, and brand are marketed in a clear, compliant, and member-centric manner. This role involves close collaboration with Marketing, Product, Legal, and issuing bank partners to responsibly execute marketing campaigns. The position is based in New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; or Washington, DC.
The Senior Associate will be responsible for reviewing and advising on marketing and advertising materials across various channels, including digital, social, mobile, influencer, lifecycle, and traditional media, to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulatory guidelines. Key tasks include applying knowledge of regulations such as UDAAP, FTC Guidelines, Reg Z, Reg E, Reg DD, FCRA, VISA branding rules, and relevant state laws. The role also involves independently conducting day-to-day marketing compliance reviews, identifying regulatory risks early, and providing clear, pragmatic mitigation guidance that balances compliance with member experience.
Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in banking, credit, payments, deposits, or marketing compliance within the financial services sector. They must demonstrate expertise in researching, interpreting, and applying financial services regulations to marketing or product initiatives. A strong understanding of key regulations, including Marketing and Advertising Compliance, UDAAP, FTC compliance, TILA (Reg Z), TISA (Reg DD), VISA branding rules, Electronic Funds Transfers (Reg E), FCRA, and various state money transmission laws and regulations, is essential. The role requires excellent analytical thinking skills, strong written and verbal communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset to build trusted relationships across various teams.
The base salary for this position ranges from $101,000 to $140,000 annually, depending on location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
