Senior Cloud Engineer
LeafLink is seeking a Staff Cloud Engineer to lead the evolution of our cloud infrastructure and developer platform. This role ensures our systems remain scalable, reliable, and secure while enabling engineering teams to ship software quickly and safely. As a technical leader, the Staff Cloud Engineer will shape infrastructure architecture and platform standards, partnering closely with engineering teams to improve deployment pipelines, observability, and operational reliability across the platform.
Key responsibilities include designing and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS, leading improvements to Kubernetes infrastructure and Helm deployments, and developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and modern DevOps tooling. The role also involves implementing GitOps workflows using Argo, managing infrastructure-as-code with Terraform, improving system observability and incident response processes, and mentoring engineers on operational best practices and infrastructure patterns.
The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience operating production infrastructure in cloud environments, with strong expertise in AWS infrastructure and cloud architecture. Deep experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration, managing deployments using Helm, and implementing GitOps workflows using tools such as Argo is essential. Proficiency in Terraform and infrastructure-as-code, building CI/CD systems using GitHub or similar platforms, and a strong understanding of system reliability, monitoring, and operational practices are also required.
