Senior Cloud Security Engineer
Ridgeline is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to lead the security of our cloud infrastructure and platform components. This role involves close collaboration with Engineering, DevOps, Product, and Compliance teams to integrate security practices throughout the development lifecycle. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring our AWS environments are secure, compliant, and efficient.
Key responsibilities include conducting security and architecture reviews of AWS infrastructure and third-party cloud services, developing scalable security tooling and automation, and designing and maintaining security guardrails such as Service Control Policies (SCPs) and IAM boundaries. The engineer will also integrate detection and alerting mechanisms into observability systems, embed security into CI/CD pipelines, and establish frameworks for secure integration with third-party services.
The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience in cloud security or platform engineering, a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience, and proficiency in a high-level programming language such as Python, Kotlin, or TypeScript. Hands-on experience with AWS services—including IAM, VPC, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, and CloudWatch—is essential. Expertise in designing and applying IAM and SCP policies, knowledge of cloud workload protection, and experience with infrastructure-as-code practices using tools like Terraform are also required.
