Senior Commercial Counsel
Garner Health is seeking a Senior Commercial Counsel to join our dynamic legal team. This role involves managing the company's commercial transactions from inception to completion, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of agreements. The position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to our mission of transforming the healthcare economy by delivering high-quality and affordable care for all.
Key responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements, such as master service agreements, business associate agreements, vendor agreements, data use agreements, data protection agreements, partnership agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and employment-related agreements. The role also involves maintaining and improving contract templates, approval matrices, and internal guidance related to transactional issues, as well as managing and developing transactional processes, including contract lifecycle management, to enhance efficiency and support scalability. Additionally, the Senior Commercial Counsel will advise internal stakeholders on commercial transactions and other day-to-day legal issues as needed.
The ideal candidate will have a J.D. from a U.S. law school, admission to a state bar, and at least 4 years of experience in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial agreements. A strong understanding of technical, financial, or data science concepts is essential. The candidate should be proactive, willing to take initiative, and capable of working in a rapidly evolving startup environment. The base salary range for this position is $210,000 to $230,000, depending on qualifications and experience. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible to participate in our equity incentive and competitive benefits plans, including flexible PTO, medical/dental/vision plan options, 401(k) with company match, flexible spending accounts, and Teladoc Health services.
