Senior Construction Litigation Attorney

Wilson Elser is seeking a Senior Construction Litigation Attorney to join their East Meadow, Long Island office. This role involves managing a caseload of construction litigation matters, including New York Labor Law claims, from inception through resolution or trial. The firm, established in 1978, is a leading defense litigation law firm with over 1,400 attorneys across 46 offices in the United States.

The attorney will handle all aspects of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, and court appearances. Collaboration with partners and team members on case strategy and complex legal issues is essential. Regular communication with clients to provide updates, legal analysis, and strategic recommendations is also a key responsibility.

Candidates must possess a JD from an ABA-accredited law school and be an active member in good standing with the New York State Bar. A minimum of 7 years of proven Labor Law construction experience is required, along with experience in insurance defense, premises liability, and general liability matters. Demonstrated experience as first and/or second chair in trials is strongly desired. An advanced understanding of New York Construction Law (Labor Law §§200, 240, 241) is preferred, and experience with OSHA proceedings and regulatory compliance is a plus.
