Wilson Elser is seeking a Senior Construction Litigation Attorney to join its New York City office. This role involves managing a caseload that includes insurance defense, general liability, and construction-related litigation, with a particular focus on New York Labor Law matters. The firm, established in 1978, is a leading defense litigation law firm with over 1,400 attorneys across 46 offices in the United States.

The attorney will independently handle all aspects of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, and court appearances. Collaboration with partners and team members on case strategy and complex legal issues is essential. Regular communication with clients to provide updates, legal analysis, and strategic recommendations is also a key responsibility.

Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school and be an active member in good standing with the New York State Bar. A minimum of seven years of proven experience in Labor Law construction litigation is required. Experience with insurance defense, premises liability, and general liability matters is also necessary. Demonstrated experience as first and/or second chair in trials is strongly desired. An advanced understanding of New York Construction Law, particularly Labor Law sections 200, 240, and 241, is preferred. Experience with OSHA proceedings and regulatory compliance is a plus.

The position offers a salary range of $185,000 to $225,000, with eligibility for discretionary bonuses.
