Senior Construction Litigation Attorney
Wilson Elser, a prominent defense litigation law firm with over 1,400 attorneys across 46 offices nationwide, is seeking a Senior Construction Litigation Attorney for its White Plains office. The Senior Construction Litigation Attorney will independently manage a caseload encompassing insurance defense, general liability, and construction litigation, including New York Labor Law matters. Responsibilities include handling all phases of litigation, such as pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, and court appearances, while collaborating with partners and team members on case strategy and complex legal issues.
Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school and be an active member in good standing with the New York State Bar. A minimum of seven years of proven experience in Labor Law construction litigation is required, along with experience in insurance defense, premises liability, and general liability matters. Demonstrated experience as first and/or second chair in trials is strongly desired, and an advanced understanding of New York Construction Law (Labor Law §§200, 240, 241) is preferred.
