Senior DFx Engineering Program Manager
The Senior DFx Engineering Program Manager at Axon plays a pivotal role in the New Product Introduction (NPI) group, focusing on the development and release of next-generation de-escalation devices. This position emphasizes ensuring that new products are designed for scalability, high yield, and cost-effectiveness, aligning with Axon's mission to protect life and capture truth.
Key responsibilities include leading cross-functional teams through Axon's Product Lifecycle stages, from System Prototype to Production Validation. The role involves driving design for testability by collaborating with design engineering teams, defining and implementing comprehensive test strategies, and overseeing the development and qualification of reliable and cost-effective test solutions. Additionally, the manager will coordinate with manufacturing, quality, and design teams to establish test coverage and criteria, perform data analysis to optimize test processes, and support factory ramp activities to ensure products meet design intent.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or a related engineering field, along with at least 10 years of experience in NPI, manufacturing, or automation engineering, preferably in electronics, consumer hardware, or automotive devices. A proven track record of successful product launches in a test engineering role is essential, as is proficiency in design for test principles, test plan creation, and fixture development. Experience with surface mount technology, final assembly, test and packaging processes, and working closely with contract manufacturers is also required.
