Senior Electrical Engineer, Rocket Motor Systems
Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their Rocket Motor Systems team in Huntsville, Alabama. This role involves designing and developing safety-critical circuitry for Ignition Safety Devices (ISD) and Electronic Safe and Arm Devices (ESAD), contributing to the advancement of defense technology.
The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for designing embedded control electronics from concept to production, including hardware selection, schematic and PCB design, board bring-up, and system-level integration. The role requires troubleshooting issues that span electrical and software boundaries, collaborating closely with electrical, mechanical, software, firmware, and test engineers to deliver fully functional products. Managing product sustainment in a production process with engineering improvements and cost reduction initiatives is also a key aspect of the position.
Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent, with at least 8 years of experience in designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex embedded systems and products. Required skills include experience with 8- and 32-bit microcontrollers, Linux-based SOCs, FPGAs, Ethernet, common communication buses (SPI, I2C), power regulation, high voltage DC and safety devices, and power management. Proficiency with Altium Designer or equivalent electronic design automation tools is essential. Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance is mandatory.
The position offers a salary range of $126,000 to $167,000 USD, with actual compensation varying based on factors such as work experience, education, and critical skills.
