Senior Electrical Engineer, Video
As a Senior Electrical Engineer in Axon's Video Electrical Engineering team, you will lead the design, development, and testing of advanced electronics integral to Axon's cutting-edge video products and related devices. Your technical expertise and passion for technology will drive the creation of innovative solutions that meet the rigorous demands of our customers. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate globally with cross-functional teams to deliver world-class products that positively impact law enforcement and public safety.
In this position, you will own the design of critical electronic circuits and systems, including embedded mixed-signal circuits that integrate components such as application processors, image sensors, high-speed memory, RF transceivers, and power supplies. You will lead project teams and design partners to achieve successful hardware objectives, utilizing tools like OrCAD for schematic design and collaborating with PCB design engineers to optimize printed circuit board layouts. Additionally, you will bring up, characterize, optimize, and debug systems and circuits using laboratory tools such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, along with at least 7 years of experience in embedded electronics design, focusing on high-speed, high-density, portable, battery-powered devices, robotics, or low-power vehicular embedded circuits. Demonstrated ownership of embedded electronics design across multiple subsystems is essential, including experience with microcontrollers, high-speed application processors, image sensors, high-speed memory subsystems, power delivery networks, lithium batteries and charging circuitry, audio subsystems, RF integration, and various wired interfaces. Proficiency in high-speed, high-density hardware design, system architecture development, component selection, schematic design, PCB layout management, design verification testing, and debugging is required.
