Senior Finance Systems Engineer - Revenue/ Zuora system
Canva is seeking a Senior Finance Systems Engineer to manage and enhance its revenue system landscape, focusing on the Zuora platform. This role is integral to the Information Technology Group, which aims to maximize the potential of every team member through world-class technology and service. The position offers flexibility in work location, with options to work from Canva's flagship office in Sydney, Australia, or the San Francisco hub in the United States.
The Senior Finance Systems Engineer will develop a deep understanding of the end-to-end B2B and B2C revenue system landscape, overseeing system and process improvement projects across various stakeholders, including Revenue Platform Engineering, Finance Data Platform, Business Data Platform, and Finance Revenue Operations teams. Responsibilities include staying updated with changes in the revenue system landscape, assisting the Finance team in managing impacts on systems or business logic, implementing system monitoring controls to ensure data accuracy and compliance, performing technical root cause analyses, and continuously assessing system performance to identify areas for improvement.
Candidates should have over five years of experience in financial systems management supporting the revenue recognition domain, with a preference for experience in public companies or SOX environments. Proficiency in managing systems across their lifecycle, particularly with platforms like Zuora, SAP, NetSuite, or Salesforce, is essential. Experience in implementing revenue systems and integrating them with third-party tools, as well as providing system administration and support, is required. Strong skills in SQL scripting and data analysis, along with solid knowledge of revenue recognition processes and applicable accounting standards such as IFRS 15 or ASC 606, are highly valued.
Canva offers a competitive salary range of $185,000 to $237,000, along with equity packages to share in the company's success.
