Senior Financial Reporting Analyst
Aypa Power, a Blackstone portfolio company, is seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst to oversee the preparation of consolidated financial statements and disclosures in accordance with U.S. GAAP. This role is integral to our mission of responsibly decarbonizing the grid and making North American energy markets more affordable, sustainable, and efficient. The position reports to the Director of Reporting and Technical Accounting and collaborates closely with various stakeholders across the company.
The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst will be responsible for preparing consolidated parent company and multiple project-level financial statements, related disclosures, and supporting schedules for external reporting. Key duties include driving process improvements to enhance the scalability of the financial reporting process, supporting external auditors during audits and interim procedures, drafting accounting memos, performing technical research, and promoting a positive team atmosphere.
Candidates should possess 3-8 years of accounting experience, a bachelor's degree in accounting, and auditing and/or financial reporting experience. An active CPA license is preferred. Extensive working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment are essential. Proficiency in Excel is required, and experience with Workiva Wdesk is a plus.
