The position is based in Seattle, Washington, with a hybrid work schedule and requires approximately 20% travel to locations including APAC, Scottsdale, Boston, and Europe.

The Senior Firmware Partner Engineer I will manage relationships between Axon's firmware engineering teams and Joint Development Manufacturers (JDMs), aligning short-term and long-term requirements to ensure the development of appropriate products. The role also involves writing code as needed to finalize JDM programs, auditing adjacent teams' needs to ensure coherence with firmware plans, and serving as the primary contact for internal stakeholders regarding JDM technical status and deliverables.

Candidates should have a proven track record of bringing products to production, with at least 8 years of experience in firmware development. Proficiency in Embedded Linux, particularly in Board Support Package (BSP) development, and experience with C/C++ programming are essential. Familiarity with wireless technologies such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Cellular LTE, or 5G is required. Strong organizational skills, cross-functional communication abilities, and technical writing proficiency are also necessary. While not mandatory, fluency in Mandarin is considered a plus.

Axon offers a competitive salary range of $141,000 to $226,000 per year, depending on geographic market and experience. The compensation package includes base pay, bonus, and stock awards. Benefits encompass discretionary paid time off, paid parental leave, medical, dental, and vision plans, fitness programs, emotional and mental wellness support, learning and development programs, and in-office snacks.

Joining Axon means becoming part of a mission-driven company dedicated to protecting life and accelerating justice through innovative technology solutions. The company fosters a collaborative and fast-paced work environment where employees are encouraged to take ownership and drive meaningful change. With a focus on continuous growth and development, Axon provides opportunities to work on impactful projects that make a real difference in public safety and justice.
