Senior Frontend Software Engineer, Design System/Accessibility

SmartRecruiters is seeking a Senior Frontend Software Engineer to lead design system and accessibility initiatives within our engineering team. As a key player in our mission to connect great people with great jobs, you'll contribute to a platform that has supported over 100 million job seekers to date. Our system's graphic interface is built on a micro frontends architecture, utilizing modern technologies such as Angular, React, and Node.js.

In this role, you will plan and own design system and accessibility projects across product teams. Your responsibilities include identifying gaps in the design system and shared UI infrastructure, shaping open-ended platform problems into actionable plans, and delivering improvements autonomously. Collaboration is key, as you'll work closely with engineering and design partners to maintain alignment on components, patterns, and standards.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js, along with familiarity with all aspects of the frontend ecosystem. Practical experience applying accessibility standards and building or maintaining design systems is essential. Additionally, experience delivering cross-team initiatives requiring close collaboration with Engineering and Design, knowledge of software development methods and best practices, and excellent communication skills in English are required.
