Senior Full-Stack Engineer, App Journey (GraphQL)
Chime is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join the App Journey team, focusing on enhancing the core experiences that members interact with daily. This role involves owning and evolving key app surfaces, including navigation and primary user interfaces, to help members manage their finances with clarity and confidence. The engineer will collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to build scalable and reliable solutions for millions of users.
Key responsibilities include developing frontend features using React Native and TypeScript, as well as contributing to backend services and GraphQL APIs built with Ruby on Rails. The engineer will drive projects from concept to completion, ensuring high-quality, member-facing experiences. Additionally, the role involves mentoring junior engineers, participating in on-call rotations, and contributing to the continuous improvement of the app ecosystem through active involvement in sprint ceremonies and architecture discussions.
The ideal candidate has over six years of experience in full-stack development, with strong proficiency in TypeScript, React, and React Native. Experience with large-scale distributed systems and hands-on expertise in Ruby on Rails for backend development are essential. A product-focused mindset, strong cross-functional collaboration skills, and leadership experience are also important. Experience with server-driven UI development and GraphQL is a plus.
The position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $187,000 to $259,000, depending on experience and location.
