Senior Inside Sales Engineer
The Senior Inside Sales Engineer at Commvault is a pivotal role within the company's sales engineering team, focusing on supporting Sales Engineering Managers and Sales Engineers in the U.S. market. This position involves remote assistance with pre-sales engagements, primarily concentrating on Proof of Concepts (POCs) and demonstrations, as well as other pre-sales activities such as documentation, Technical Onboarding Documents (TODs), Architecture and Logical Designs (ALDs), Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), discovery and requirement gathering, and technical research.
Key responsibilities include delivering technical demonstrations of Commvault's data protection solutions, conducting POCs, and providing technical support during the sales process. The role requires a strong understanding of data recovery, backup and recovery solutions, and cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, and GCP. Additionally, the Senior Inside Sales Engineer will be expected to configure and troubleshoot networking, storage systems, hypervisors, and container solutions, as well as databases like MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle, SAP, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
Candidates should have 8 to 10 years of hands-on experience in technical support or data recovery solutions, with a focus on cloud platforms. A solid understanding of technology and cybersecurity basics, computer networking fundamentals, and operating systems is essential. Experience in customer-facing roles, delivering pilots, POCs, and technical demos of cybersecurity solutions, along with excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are also required.
