The Senior IT Support Engineer at xAI plays a pivotal role within the IT Services team, ensuring seamless technical operations across the organization. This position is integral to maintaining the efficiency and reliability of xAI's technological infrastructure, supporting the company's mission to develop AI systems that accurately understand the universe and aid humanity in its pursuit of knowledge.

Key responsibilities include providing advanced technical assistance for hardware, software, and network issues, diagnosing and resolving complex technical problems, and managing user accounts and access controls. The role also involves deploying, configuring, and maintaining hardware and software applications, monitoring IT systems, and contributing to IT projects such as system upgrades and new technology rollouts. Additionally, the Senior IT Support Engineer is expected to document service tickets, maintain knowledge base articles, and mentor Level 1 technicians.

Candidates should possess an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or have equivalent experience. A minimum of 2-4 years in IT support or a related technical role is required. Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and common enterprise software is essential. Proficiency in troubleshooting network issues and basic server administration is also necessary. Experience with IT service management tools and familiarity with virtualization technologies and cloud services are advantageous. Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Professional, or ITIL are preferred.
