Senior / Lead Electrical Engineer
As a Senior / Lead Electrical Engineer at Axon, you will be instrumental in advancing our electrical engineering capabilities, focusing on the design and development of complex digital and analog systems. Your contributions will directly support our mission to deter unauthorized drone incursions, ensuring our solutions remain at the forefront of airspace security technology.
In this role, you will architect and design scalable hardware platforms, integrating high-speed digital processing, analog sensor interfaces, and robust power delivery architectures for counter-UAS systems. Responsibilities include designing FPGA-based circuitry, implementing high-speed interfaces such as DDR and PCIe, and conducting comprehensive electrical analyses to ensure signal integrity, power efficiency, and compliance with EMI/EMC standards. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential to deliver fully integrated systems from prototype through production.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with demonstrated expertise in developing custom electronics, including schematic capture, multilayer PCB design, and component selection. A strong track record of taking designs from concept through production, focusing on performance, reliability, and design for manufacturability, is essential. Experience with relevant CAD tools for PCB design and a solid understanding of MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-461 compliance are also required.
