Senior Litigation Defense Attorney

Wilson Elser is seeking a Senior Litigation Defense Attorney to join its Kansas City office. This role offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative team at a leading defense litigation law firm with over 1,400 attorneys across 46 offices nationwide. The successful candidate will independently manage a diverse litigation caseload from inception to trial. Responsibilities include representing clients in general liability and contractual claims, conducting and defending depositions, and handling state and federal court appearances. The attorney will also collaborate closely with colleagues and partners on various legal projects and draft detailed legal opinions and client status reports.

Applicants must possess a Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and be admitted to practice in Kansas; admission in Missouri is a plus. A minimum of 8 years of litigation experience is required, with preferred experience in transportation, products liability, and general liability. Strong organizational skills, superior written and oral communication abilities, and the capacity to integrate into a fast-paced, team-oriented environment are essential.
