Senior Manager, AI Innovation
The Senior Manager of AI Innovation at Agility Robotics will lead a team dedicated to bridging advanced AI and machine learning research with practical robotic applications. This role focuses on driving research initiatives that address complex robotics challenges, aiming to de-risk the product roadmap over a one to two-year horizon. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to the development of humanoid robots designed to work alongside humans in various environments.
Key responsibilities include overseeing the lifecycle of innovation projects from initial research to proof-of-concept deployment on humanoid platforms. The role involves driving research into novel AI solutions for challenges such as real-time planning, human-robot interaction, and adaptive motor control. Additionally, the manager will collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure next-generation sensor suites are optimized for future AI architectures.
Candidates must possess an advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of 8 years of experience in AI/ML, including at least 3 years in a management role. Demonstrated experience in developing and deploying real-time AI solutions for robotics or autonomous systems is essential. Strong expertise in core AI domains, including computer vision, reinforcement learning, and large language models applied to robotics, is required.
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $268,000 to $364,000 USD. In addition to base pay, the total rewards package includes a 401(k) plan with a 6% company match, company stock options, 100% company-paid medical, dental, vision, and short/long-term disability insurance, flexible unlimited PTO, and generous paid parental leave programs.
